Over 900 million Indians can receive DRM broadcasts from 35 DRM medium wave and 3 short wave transmitters working in simulcast and pure DRM mode. 6 more high power medium wave transmitters are likely to start regular DRM services soon.
Over 6 million cars are fitted with DRM receivers on the roads in India as of 2023. Major car brands using DRM for their infotainment systems include: Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Toyota, MG, and lately Mercedes Benz.
